| Are you one of those lucky few who can pick up and go at a moment's notice? Then you may want to take the bus to Crawford next Wednesday. Cindy Sheehan has become the voice of all those who have lost sons and daughters in Iraq and wonder why George W. Bush thought he should send them there. If you would like to add your voice to hers, here's your chance! But if you can't stray so far, we have our own "campaign bus" right here in Orange County. Travel to one of the corners of the 48th Congressional District, and let's elect a Democrat to take Chris Cox's place. OC Grassroots, the organization, is supporting Steve Young, a progressive Democrat, and many other groups are getting on the bandwagon as well. Steve is willing to work hard. We need to work just as hard to support him. The October election for the congressional seat is also a dress rehearsal for the Special Election called by Schwarzenegger for early November. Everything is back on the ballot, so we'll need everyone to help get out the vote. |

Meetup with other Orange County activists and learn
more about Steve Young, running for the 48th Congressional District
seat. Steve will be talking about his platform, his campaign, and how
you can help. Topic Two will be the upcoming Special Election in
November. All items are now back on the ballot, and we'll need
everyone's best '"superhero" effort to bring out our voters. We cannot
let Schwarzenegger team up with his big money donors and run over the
citizens of California. On Thursday, August 25, join the "Bush is Ruining
America Meetup" at 7:00 pm (Wallaby's, 2106 N. Tustin Avenue, Santa
Ana, CA). As usual, "no host" food and drink is available. We ask that
you add a 20% gratuity to thank them for the use of the meeting room.
